Well for one, I hope this new job for the Presidential campaing makes me a lot of money because of my student load debt. Other than that, it is important for any business or political to know their dempographiy because that your target market that you care trying to appeal to.
As we saw with the presidential election, there were certain segments that voted a particular way (i.e for President Obama or Govenor Romney. The President had a "big tent" campaign because he was able to appeal to all masses of people in his campaign.
With any election, there will be political issues that will never change but there are some that you will need to address and you hope that your constituants agree with your statement (i.e. same sex marriage/abortion).
As a consultend in our senario, I would want to address issues and give my speach for those who I want to vote for (target market). I twould include many grey areas of topics that you are not suppose to talk to with other (especially friends).
I think national defense and education are big topics that I would suggest for the president in the 2016 election campaign because those are topics that are debated upon with all parties.
National defense is important because it is protecting our freedom/borders/troops on foreign soil. Americans do not want another 9/11 attack and will fight and the bad guys won't win. There are times that we should not get involved but we will back uo our allies for their choice in stepping into another country.
Education is another topic that is inportant from elementary to college. We need a system for all who want to go to college and can afford to go and be able to pay for it. When those graduates graduate, we want them to stay here in the United States and not work for a company that is overseas. Our public school system is failing our future leaders of America. We should mandate that our childern learn a language (spanish, chinese, japanese, for example). This needs to be done in the younger years because they are able to obsorve the language fast.
Those are my top two issues that I think all Americans can believe in and elect a certain candidate.

Ther Persauders
This
was a very interesting documentary that we watched in class. There are
some interesting ways that marketers do to get consumers to buy a
certain product, vote a specific way, or ways that companies can better
themselves in the marketplace.
The billionaire that hosts his party for those corporations that afford it, kind of seemed like a joke to me because this was information they probably knew about and it just seemed ridiculous about his maid pouring him a cup of coffee and he drinks one sip from it.
The political guy, it seems like he is praying on people to get the right words that people like to hear, "war on terror" or "climate change." Each phrase is a word with similar meanings, but just different enough for people to notice.

Holiday Ritual
I presented a daily basis ritual that I do on a daily basis. For this, I had decided to look at some sort of holiday ritual that I do. It has been years since I have been home for an Alaskan Thanksgiving/Christmas. I have moved so many times in my life that I never adapted some sort of ritual during the holidays.
I have been dating Jason for a year and half now and we have spent all major holidays together. For Thanksgiving in 2010, Jason cooked the meal ( I can't cook to save my life-not even POPCORN)! This year;however, we went to Old Chicago for our meal. It may have been free, but it was still so GOOD! Waiting in line for about 15 minutes only enhanced the meal that much more. (Similar to the book saying if consumers see a big line in a restaraunt they will still stop and join because it must be good). Something that was consistent was our attair. We dressed in what tehe business world called "business casual." It was one small way to give our thanks.
For Christmas, I would give him some sort of University of Oregon gear (Go Ducks!) because that is where he graduated. I would get some sort of allowance for me to go and spend on whatever I wanted, but he would always get me something that was special from him that he bought himself.. We would buy all the dogs stockings (around seven) because they are members of the family, too. Any gift for our families we would buy it together so my budget was never for anyone bu me, but I did manage to get somethings past him for his gifts.
Despite all of that, I love being with my family and friends when we have the money to go to places. Yes, I have been on my own for a while, but I am still trying to find my own traditions and do it my way with my family. I just enjoy being around people to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
