Decision Making

When we breifly spoke about school sprit and how the Prof's family was into Norte Dame before she went there, my family is like that with Syracuse University (New York).  I remember getting a lot of SU gear growing up from my Grandma.  Even though no one in the family had gone there, we still wore their gear because that is where my parents lived was in Syracuse, NY.

We all make decisions and some of them include: extended problem solving (relateds to our self concept and the outcome maybe risky in some way.  Then we frefresh our minds and do a Google search and pick the right attribute for us and relate it to the results we hope to get from our choice).  I think with this, was our decision to go to Montana State Univeristy.  Some of us did a lot of research and others had other motives as our parents pay for our schooling.

I have a habitual decision making when it comes to drinkign vodka.  I can go into Cats Paw and I know exactly where to go for the bottle that I am going to purchase.  There are some cases that I will do a quick look at other vodka brands, but for the most part, I stick with the brand that costs me $11.00.

Political Ads

First off, I can't wait for the election year to be over with!
Secondly, what are your thoughts from a consumer behavior as we have talked about in class?  What makes us vote for a particual candidate?  I notice that they are all saying negative things about their opponent, but they are not saying what they will do for US if we vote their way!!

Our needs will always be the same, but it will become better I think.  We all need food, water, shelter (everything from Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs) but as we get our jobs, it will become better food/shelter.  For example, I am eating Ramon/tv dinners right now, but once we get our job, we will go out to eat for the cheeseburger we all love.  That will become my standard food but there will be other foods that I will want to buy, something that is better, something that is cultural standard.  Another example is the cheap Vodka that I buy, but with a job, it will be a better Vodka brand.
I think with politics, it is such a grey area in society that we don't like to talk about.  Well at least for me when I was growing up (religion as well).  We all have our views for our politicias, but there are some people who are very outspoken about a particular candidate.  While I think it is wonderful that they are so passionate about politics, I choose not to bring my views unless its with my friends and family.
There are universal values that we can all agree upon.  Such thing that came to my mind was that a smile.  I like to smile around campus and that makes other students smile.  It was the same way when I was in Mexico a few years ago, a smile is universal.  At least for me.

Ahh so I have been trying to do my posts and its not working.  I am too sick to care at the moment, but I did a post!  Have a great weekend!
Working on the blog since then, is very interesting idea to do.  At times it is hard to tie in the book/class and find intereting things to blog about!  As soon as you post something, there are cooler things to add to your blog and it takes time and experience to try and find stuff you want to add to your page and things that you shouldn't add to your blog.
I do enjoy reading my classmates blogs and get their opinions about our class discusssion.  In that way, it was nice to do 12 blogs this semster, but at other times, I would have trouble trying to do a post on my blog site and it just wasn't fun to do!
